Federal bureaucrats have been trying for decades to expand their grip on our healthcare system, but that won’t cut costs or improve quality.

In fact, health insurance premiums have doubled since the passage of Obamacare.

The best thing we can do to decrease the price of health insurance is to increase open and fair competition. That means we have to remove state-based barriers so that small businesses can band together to purchase more affordable health insurance for their employees.

Another plan, advanced by Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, would allow for Association Plans, which also allow for small businesses to increase their buying power together, went into effect in June 2018.

More freedom means lower prices and better coverage.
